When I was interviewing with brokers a few years ago, I got a good chuckle. This particular broker told me that he didn't think that there was a whole lot of opportunity for growth in Georgetown --that things were pretty stagnant. I couldn't have agreed less -- so, obviously didn't join that firm.
Anyone who lives in Georgetown has seen substantial residential and commercial growth. The west side has been a constant cloud of construction for the last 5 years -- with the development of many custom and planned communities as well as commerical ventures up and down Williams Drive. Now, we have the Goodwater development coming.
This will be a whopping 600-acre project that could bring 2,500 new homes to the area. It's going to be interesting to see what transpires -- if you're interested in the full story -- visit the Austin Business Journal article from the other day. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for updates...
